Rotary Wheelchair Distribution Event in Saigon

October 30, 2010 - Day 13 of the HumaniTour: 280 new wheelchairs, funded by our partners Rotary International and Pro Sports Club arrived safely in Viet Nam ahead of our team. Today our team involved in the distribution of these new chairs. The event in Saigon was organized on our behalf by the Viet Nam Red Cross. It was our chance to witness first hand that 'mobility' bring 'hope' and 'dignity'. THANK YOU Rotary, Pro Sports Club, and the many volunteers from the Viet Nam Red Cross.

  1. There is a lady in Saigon (who you may have heard of or seen) who carries a disabled young/immature/approaching teenage years? ...boy on her back, (could be her son) whilst begging from tourists to help support her and her son; obviously she needs a wheelchair to remedy this situation; this boy/maybe her son, looks as if he is now approaching his teenage years and the strain on her is quite obvious; I will pay for the wheelchair but unsure how I can get it to her; can anyone advise me on this? yours truly, Gods blessings, Norman Smith.
